My reflections on Transformative Markets since it was published
Transformative Markets is a book about a better, healthier, more prosperous future for all. Its premise is that the markets we use every day to build, sell, and buy things like food, clothes, and cars must become powerhouses for driving the creation of innovative and sustainable goods and services able to respect our human talents and natural resources.
Transformative Markets is a roadmap – with 10 concrete, actionable steps – for turning the outdated markets of today into markets better able to create value for everyone. I am excited to have you on this journey with me.
The Changing World
- The courage displayed by millions of people to make their voices heard in opposing injustice, police brutality, and systemic racism
- The innovators who refuse to take “no” for an answer as they look for ways to eliminate the millions of tons of plastics in the ocean, remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and push the boundaries of medical innovation
- Big oil companies like BP and Shell changing their business models on the fly to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to clean energy such as wind and solar power
- And, the most heartwarming of all, the informal communities of people coming together to help their neighbors in need.
